"Scorbutus" is now called "scurvy". Known as Theoodore T.

The tombstone at right in the Pitcher, NY, cemetery is very weathered, but the "76" is clearly visible, and there's a GAR marker next to to the tombstone. Union Valley isn't far from Pitcher, so it seems possible (if not certain) that this is Wilson Ellwood's grave.
